A perfect activity for those who want to learn more about both the World Heritage Site Gammelstad Church Town and the open-air museum Hägnan – all in one tour.

Gammelstad has a lot to offer, and sometimes it’s hard to choose just one activity. That’s why we’ve created this popular combined tour!

The tour begins outside the Visitor Center with a guided walk through the World Heritage Site Gammelstad Church Town. Feel history come alive as you stroll along the narrow streets, visit a church cottage, and peek inside the late medieval Nederluleå Church (subject to ceremonies).

We then continue down to the open-air museum Hägnan, where you’ll learn more about life in the old farming community across different time periods. You’ll also visit a historic farmstead and hear stories about everyday life in times gone by.
