The Church Town of Gammelstad and the open-air museum Hägnan are located 10 kilometers outside central Luleå, on the site that was once the town center and harbor.

In the heart of Gammelstad Church Town, by Kyrktorget, you'll find the Visitor Center – a great starting point for your visit. Visitor Center is marked with a information-i in the map below. From Kyrktorget, you cam walk down Gamla Hamngatan to reach the open-air museum Hägnan and the site where the town’s harbor was located in the 14th century.
