With the free app Visit Gammelstad, you can explore the church town and the open-air museum Hägnan through guided tours, quizzes, and exciting stories. For example, you can take an audio-guided reflection walk among the church cottages, or let the children go on an adventure with the mouse family Gammelstadsson where they solve tasks along the way.

Don’t have a smartphone? You can still explore Gammelstad Church Town on your own using our audio guides. The guide includes eight recorded audio tracks. With the help of a map, you’ll navigate through the church town while listening. The walk takes about 40 minutes, and all stops are outdoors.
The audio guide costs 50 SEK to rent and is available in Swedish, English, German, French, Dutch, Finnish, Meänkieli, and North Sámi.
You rent it at the Visitor Center and return it before closing time.
