Dancing at Hägnan

Welcome to the yellow dancefloor at the open-air museum Hägnan the summer of 2026, where some of Luleå's dance associations invite you to dance with them!

Dance with some of Luleå's dance associations during certain Wednesday evenings in the summer of 2026. The evening begins with a try-out session for beginners and then continues with social dancing for everyone who already knows the turns.

• July 29 at 6 PM-8 PM, oriental dance with Oriental hips.
• August 12 at 6 PM-8 PM, traditional "polska" dance with Luleå hometown guild.

Free activity open to anyone who wants to participate. No pre-registration is required.

About the dancefloor

Dancefloors were built around the turn of the century the year 1900, when association life grew in scope. It was no longer just flat meadows and road crossings that became common for Saturday night's dance but also dancefloors. At Hägnan we have a yellow dancefloor with a newly renovated floor waiting for you to stop by.
