The exhibition "Gammelstad – A World Class Church Town"

Welcome to the interactive exhibition about the history of the church town at Visitor Center. Here you can take part in stories from today's church cottage owners and learn more about the world heritage and the church town past and present. You can also build and decorate your very own church cottage in our digital game. In the exhibition there is also a full-sized model of a church cottage that you can go inside.

The exhibition for children

In addition to the chance to decorate your own digital church cottage, the exhibition also features our little mouse family, the Gammelstadssons. They help explain the World Heritage site to children in a fun and easy way. The mice are also hidden in tricky spots throughout the exhibition—come and search for them and see how many you can find!

The exhibition also includes a dress-up corner with historical clothing, a sleigh, hobby horses, and a small table where you can sit down for a game of tic-tac-toe, coloring, or crafts.

The exhibition is located on the 2nd floor of the Visitoor Center. It can be reached by the main staircase in the hallway or by elevator if needed (inform the staff on location if you wish to use it).
