18.00–21.00 Music café with William Sundman Sääf and the Nederluleå Youth Choir

Singer-songwriter, troubadour and Bellman interpreter William Sundman Sääf has quickly made a name for himself as one of Sweden’s most interesting young performers of traditional song. Earlier this year, William was the opening act for Håkan Hellström at the Globe Arena and Scandinavium.

Refreshments will be available for sale. Please note that the concert will be held at Stadsö Church and that seating is limited.

• For children aged 6–8: Make your own hobby horse and try the obstacle course!
  
• For children aged 9–12: Make your own bow and arrow and take part in exciting knightly challenges!

Fashions come and go, but Gammelstad Church Town and its traditions remain. What can we learn from the history of the site? Gammelstad expert Lisa Lång will talk about the church town tradition in Gammelstad and how views on what is worth preserving have changed over time.

12.00–13.00 Village Stories – The Heart of Luleå

Do you have memories, stories or photographs from Gammelstad Church Town? Come along and share them with Jouni Vesa from the Workers’ Educational Association (ABF). Some of the collected material will be used in an exhibition at the Visitor Center. It may also be used in an ABF exhibition and possibly in a book featuring stories from villages in Luleå Municipality.

Please note: Any photographs you submit must comply with GDPR requirements. This means that you must ensure that the photographer has approved the use of the images in this context. The same applies to anyone shown in the photographs – they must also have given their permission for the images to be used.

13.00 Concert with Bo Selinder & ACCJA and the children’s choirs Happy Voices and Korallen

Om vär(l)den – a Swedish play on the words “the world” and “values”. Dance through God’s wonderfully wild gallery, find out what God thinks about your nose and cheer for fish gratin – an adventure through a troubled world with its sights set on what truly matters.

Om vär(l)den is a choral work for children and adults that finds a home in hearts of every size. The work was written by Bo Selinder, one of Luleå’s much-loved artists, and premiered in 2022, performed by children’s choirs from Nederluleå Parish alongside the vocal group Bo Selinder & ACCJA. They are now presenting the concert for a third time, with a brand-new song and an even larger children’s choir.
