Autumn break activities

OCTOBER 27-29 ,12 PM-3 PM (Tuesday-Thursday): Step into the world of folklore during our autumn holiday programme! Enjoy a children's interactive fairy tale walk, open play environments, creative workshops and visit the Country Store and Kafé Fägnan.

Historical walk for children: The Mystery of the Salt

An exciting adventure into the world of fairy tales and folklore! When the wise Ma Kajsa's precious salt goes missing, the clues lead deep into the forest, where children encounter magical beings who may be able to help solve the mystery.

Starts at 12 PM, 1 PM, and 2 PM at the croft (torpet). For children aged 4 and up.

Open play environments

The outdoor area and outside the Peri-Hanscha farmhouse.

Creative workshop

Join us in The Lodge (Gårdshuset) and create trolls and mushrooms using wool.

Open museum farmhouses

Step inside Storgården and meet the prosperous farmer and his household.

Open for shopping and food

The Country Store and Kafé Fägnan are open.

OCTOBER 27-29, 12 PM-4 PM (Tuesday-Thursday): Celebrate the autumn break at the Visitor Center with a Halloween-themed creative workshop, a visit from Musilda and a tricky mission to search for a missing key.

Halloween-themed Creative Workshop

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 12 PM–4 PM. Make ghostly decorations, design your own Halloween mask and create you own lantern (feel free to bring your own empty glass jar for the lantern) The workshop is set up in the exhibition area at the Visitor Center.

Musilda visits

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 12.30 PM. Our popular and cuddly mascot Musilda will be visiting the exhibition.

Gammelstad Detective - who took Musildas key?

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 12 PM-4 PM. Musilda's church cottage key has gone missing. Perhaps someone took it? See if you can solve the mystery by following a trail with tricky tasks and questions. When finished, you can collect a small prize in the reception at Visitor Center.

Lantern lighting at the Church Square

Thursday 15.30 PM. We collect all the beautiful lanterns that have been created during the week and light them at the Church Square, outside Visitor Center.
