The animals at Hägnan

At the open-air museum Hägnan, you can meet several classic farm animals. Here, you’ll learn more about them and the important roles they played on farms in the past.

During the summer, you can stroll around the museum grounds and say hello to the mountain cows, goats, chickens, rabbits, pigs, horses, and sheep. Please note that most of the animals are only present from Midsummer to mid-August, during Hägnan’s summer season. However, the sheep live at Hägnan all year round.
