Opening hours and entry tickets
The market is open 12 pm-4 pm, December 7-8.
The entrance fee is 40 SEK per person if you pre-purchase your ticket online on our website, 60 SEK per person on site by the entrance. Free entry for children under the age of 18. Please note that we have a limited number of tickets, we recommend that you buy your ticket in good time before the event. The ticket is non-refundable.
Tickets by the entrance will only be sold if we have capacity for more visitors. You can pay with card, cash or Swish.
Entry to an old-fashioned Christmas market with carefully selected exhibitors, free fairytale walks for children, musical performances, theatre, the opportunity to meet Santa and Mrs Claus, Santa's reindeer, the wise mother Hulda, the Christmas goat and more.
Because we have limited space on the area. We want our visitors and exhibitors to have a pleasant and qualitative market experience.

Payment methods
All exhibitors choose their own payment methods. The majority accepts card or Swish but please note that the payment methods can vary from exhibitor to exhibitor.
The nearest ATM is located at Stadsö Centrum, a 15-20 minutes walk from Gammelstad Church Town. There are no ATM:s in the church town nor in the market area.
Transportation
Yes, you can take bus number 9 all the way to the church town. During the market weekend the bus stops at "Sandåkersvägen".
You can also take bus number 1 or 2 to "Stadsö Centrum" but from there it's a 15-20 min walk to get to the market area.
Hägnan has several parking lots with parking attendants close to the market area. Due to the large number of visitors we recommend you to take the local bus if possible. During the market weekend there is also an extra parking lot by the former rescue service building in Gammelstad, approximately a 10 minutes walk from the market area External link, opens in new window..
The parking fee is 30 SEK per vehicle if you park at any of our attended parking lots.
We need parking attendants to control where our visitors park, so we can fit as many as possible. They also ensure free passage for emergency vehicles in case of an accident. The revenue goes to the association that manages the parking.
Practical information
Leashed dogs are allowed outdoors but not in any of our buildings.
Smoking is not allowed indoors, in connection to any of our buildings, activities or visitors.
Kafé Fägnan serves hot beverages, pastries and some light meal options in the café, Gårdshuset and a few market stalls.
No, unfortunately not. The majority of the market takes place outdoors so we recommend that you dress warmly.
No, I'm afraid we don't have that kind of service.
Changing tables can be found in the Country Store, Kafé Fägnan, Gårdshuset and in the house next door to the left.
Program
The fairytale walk starts outside of Storgården (the large farmhouse) at 12:30 pm, 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm.
Santa and mrs Claus can be find outside of the Peri-Hanscha farmhouse, where they greet children and collect wish lists. Santa's reindeer are lodging close to the yellow dancefloor, when they're not strolling around the area.
The horse and sleigh ride (only if there's snow on the ground) starts behind the janitor's office, close to the long barn. The fee is 40 SEK per person.
Availability
The area is accessible for strollers and wheelchairs but in bad weather the accessibility can be limited. We have ramps to our main buildings but not to all of our outbuildings.
We have adjusted the placement of our market stalls and our activities to create a better flow and reduced the number of tickets to the market.
The defibrillator is located in Gårdshuset.
