Product requirements
Only the sell of traditional and small-scale produced handicraft products, artworks, delicacies and home baked goods are permitted. Prepering and serving food and drinks for immediate consumption is not permitted. In some cases, small food samples for tasting are permitted. The Christmas market at the open-air museum Hägnan has an old-fashioned character, therefore plastic and synthetic materials must be avoided. However, food products may be packaged in plastic bags for sale. It’s not permitted to participate on the sole purpose of spreading information about political parties, organizations and societies.
The open-air museum Hägnan reserves the right to reject/cancel vendors who do not meet the criteria above.
Booking and payment
The full fee is paid in advance at the time of the booking. You can pay with card or Swish. You accept our terms and conditions by completing the booking. A confirmation will be sent to you after the booking, read through it carefully to make sure everything is correct. The booking is binding. Non-payment will result in the booking being cancelled.
The open-air museum Hägnan has the right to move market tables if necessary and cancel bookings from vendors who fail to meet the product requirements for the market.
Cancellation
The booking is personal and cannot be cancelled in someone else’s name. You may cancel your booking via e-mail to hagnan@lulea.se no later than 14 days before the first market day for a full refund. In case of late cancellations without valid reasons substantiated by a medical certificate, the open-air museum Hägnan will be credited with the full fee.
The open-air museum Hägnan reserves the right to cancel or evict vendors if the products do not meet the product criteria for the market.
Check-in and check-out
The check-in starts at 8 AM on the first market day and the station must be emptied no later than 5 PM on the last day of the market. If you have booked an indoor table, short deliveries are allowed on Friday, December 5 between 12 PM-3:30 PM. However, you are not allowed to set up your station that day. Please note that your station must be ready for customers no later than 15 minutes before opening each market day.
Cars are not permitted on the museum grounds. Only shorter stops for loading and unloading products are permitted no later than 60 minutes before opening and no earlier than 15 minutes after closing. It’s important that you respect the timetable since cars are prohibited on the grounds during the market. This also applies to vendors who have sold out before the end of the market. Parking spaces for vendors can be found in the parking lot behind Kafé Fägnan.
Market stalls and rules of conduct
Since the market is set in a sensitive cultural-historical environment, special consideration is required from you as a vendor. Nails, thumbtacks or similar are prohibited in walls and on buildings. You who are responsible for the booking are responsible for all damage that occurs to the properties or inventories through the negligence and carelessness of you or someone in your party. The agreement will terminate with immediate effect if you or someone in your party damage the property or behave disturbingly.
Think about the fire hazard and respect that it's not permitted with open flames from candles, kerosene lamps or similar. Flashing lights, colored lights and sharp headlights are not permitted. All market stalls/tables have access to electricity.
Heaters are not permitted.
It's not permitted to bring your own tables, tents, clothing racks or similar. It's not permitted to cover your market stall with large tarpaulins as protection against weather and wind.
Your own signage is not permitted on the grounds, only on and right next to your own market stall. Make sure to keep your market stall nice and tidy, the area in the back as well.
It’s not permitted to pack up your things and leave before the market closes. If you are out of products or for some other reason cannot attend all market days, you must inform us by e-mailing hagnan@lulea.se before 8 AM the day in question. The open-air museum Hägnan does not take any responsibility for products left behind or potential damage that may occur during the market weekend.
In case of war, natural disasters, strikes etc.
The open-air museum Hägnan has the right to step away from the lease agreement if your market space cannot be provided due to acts of war, natural disasters, labor market conflicts, fires or other similar events that we cannot foresee nor affect. The museum is in that case obliged to pay back the fee as soon as possible, with deduction for the use you’ve had of your market space.
Documentation through videos and photos
Photos and videos from the event may be used for the purpose of informing about the event and marketing it and future events on behalf of Luleå municipality. If you want a photo or video deleted, please contact Luleå municipality by e-mailing lulea.kommun@lulea.se or phone +46 920 45 30 00.
