Hägnan's Christmas market in Gammelstad

Shop unique gifts from our market vendors, meet Santa’s family and their reindeer, stroll among historic buildings, enjoy festive Christmas music, join a fairytale walk and discover old Christmas traditions. The market spreads across Hägnan’s farmsteads and buildings, offering an memorable experience for the whole family.

Entry tickets

Tickets go on sale on October 19 at 10.00 am. Tickets cost SEK 50 per person when purchased in advance through our website and SEK 70 per person when purchased at the gate, subject to availability. Children under 18 enjoy free admission.

As the number of tickets is limited, we recommend booking well in advance.

Tour operators can pre-book tickets by emailing hagnan@lulea.se. Please note that these tickets are also limited in number.

Payment methods market vendors

Market vendors choose their own payment methods. Most accept payment through the Swedish payment system Swish and many also accept cash or card payments. At Hägnan’s country store and cafés, you can pay by card or cash.

Please note that there is no ATM in Gammelstad Church Town. The nearest ATM is located at Storhedsvägen 1, approximately 5 km away.

Parking

We recommend travelling by bus or carpooling if possible.

Parking at our visitor car parks costs SEK 40 per vehicle. The proceeds support the local associations that manage the parking facilities.

To ensure smooth traffic flow, please follow the instructions of the parking attendants.

Public transport

Bus route 9 operated by Luleå Lokaltrafik goes to Gammelstad Church Town and stops at Sandåkersvägen during the Christmas market weekend.

Bus routes 1 and 2 stop at Stadsö Centrum, approximately a 20-minute walk from Hägnan.
