Welcome to a traditional Christmas market set in an atmospheric environment, where the surroundings create the feeling of stepping into an old-fashioned Christmas postcard.
Meet the Santa family and their reindeer, stroll among historic buildings, listen to musical performances, go on a fairytale walk, learn more about old Swedish Christmas traditions and go Christmas gift hunting among our market vendors. Parking
Hägnan has several parking lots with parking attendants close to the market area. Here is a map of our parking areas. External link.
Due to the large number of visitors we recommend as many as possible to take the local bus or carpool if possible. The parking fee is 40 SEK per vehicle if you park at any of our attended parking lots. The proceeds go the associations that manages the parking. The parking attendants ensure accessibility for emergency vehicles in the event of an accident and ensure that no cars are parked in.
Public transport
We recommend as many as possible to take the local bus (Luleå Lokaltrafik) or carpool. You can take bus number 9 all the way to the church town. During the market weekend the bus stops at "Sandåkersvägen". You can also take bus number 1 or 2 to "Stadsö Centrum" but from there it's a 20 min walk to get to the market area.
