Welcome to the yearly Christmas market at the open-air museum Hägnan

If you want to experience a traditional Christmas market in a cosy and genuine environment then this is something for you! Here you can meet mr and mrs Claus, go on a fairy-tale walk, learn more about the old Swedish Christmas traditions from the1880s and stroll among our carefully selected exhibitors, where you might find a Christmas gift or two.

The Christmas market at Hägnan is one of Sweden’s most popular Christmas markets. It's set in an old-fashioned environment, close to the World Heritage Site Gammelstad Church Town with its medieval church and red church cottages, which of course also makes us stand out from other alternatives.

OBS! The Christmas market is very popular so make sure to pre-book your entrance ticket in advance, if you buy your ticket on location you may have to wait before you are let in, if the area is too crowded
